Commercial cleaning

Commercial cleaning across the Wirral.

Commercial cleaning is bought on reliability rather than on the cleaning itself. The specification says what happens daily, weekly and monthly, and the value is that it happens without anyone having to chase it.

Priced after photos or a visit, not over the phone.

What's included

  • A written specification, task by task, with frequencies
  • Washrooms cleaned and restocked
  • Bins emptied and relined
  • Kitchen, break area and reception
  • Traffic routes and entrance glass
  • Named cover arranged for holiday and sickness

What is involved

How a commercial schedule is built.

Daily tasks keep the place presentable, periodic tasks stop the slow decline that nobody notices until it is obvious.

01

Daily

Washrooms cleaned and restocked, bins emptied and relined, kitchen and break area, reception and entrance glass, hard floors and traffic routes vacuumed or mopped. Desks wiped where they have been cleared.

02

Weekly and monthly

Full vacuum including under desks, skirtings, internal glazing and partitions, kitchen appliances, and high touch points through the building. These are the tasks that get dropped first when a schedule is not written down.

03

Keys, alarms and hours

Most sites are worked before opening or after closing. That means keyholding, an alarm code and an agreed procedure if the alarm goes, all of it written into the arrangement rather than assumed.

Site by site

What different premises actually need, and how often.

The specification is the product. These are the patterns most Wirral sites settle into once the first month has shown what actually matters.

PremisesDailyWeeklyAccessWatch for
Office Washrooms, bins, kitchen, traffic routes Full vacuum under desks, internal glass, skirtings Before opening or after closing Desks only cleared ones get wiped
Shop or salon Entrance glass, floor, washroom, bins Shelving, back of house, stock room floor Before opening Floor finish varies, check before machine use
Industrial unit Washrooms, break area, office section Warehouse traffic routes, edges Around shift patterns Not a substitute for a specialist deep clean
Multi site Same specification at each Rotated across the sites Keys and codes per site One named contact, one schedule
Communal areas Entrance, stairs, lift lobby Full stair clean, glass, handrails Agreed with the managing agent Bin store is usually a separate line

How it starts

How a commercial arrangement actually gets set up.

  1. Walk the site

Room by room, with whoever will be your contact. We write down what is there rather than pricing off a floor area and a guess.

  2. Write the specification

Every task against a frequency, daily, weekly or monthly. This is the document that settles later whether something was in scope.

  3. Settle access

Keys, alarm codes, who holds them, and what happens if the alarm goes at two in the morning. Written down, not assumed.

  4. Run a first month

Almost every specification changes after four weeks, because the site shows what actually matters. We expect that rather than resisting it.

  5. Review it with you

What is being done that does not need doing, and what keeps getting raised. Then the schedule is adjusted and left alone.

Why it is written down

Commercial cleaning is bought on reliability, and reliability is a document.

Nearly every commercial cleaning dispute is about scope rather than standard. Somebody believed the internal glazing was weekly, somebody else believed it was monthly, and neither of them can point at anything that says which. A written specification with a frequency against every task is the whole answer to that, and it costs nothing to produce.

The second thing that gets left vague is consumables. Hand towels, toilet rolls, soap and bin liners are either supplied by you or by us, and running out of toilet roll is the fastest way for a cleaning contract to become a problem. It goes in the specification with everything else.

The third is cover. Holiday and sickness happen, and what you are actually buying is that the site still gets cleaned when they do. We say who attends normally and what happens when they cannot, rather than leaving you to find out on the morning it matters.

Good questions

Commercial cleaning questions.

Commercial work runs to a schedule. Landlords and agents handling changeovers usually want the end of tenancy standard instead, and offices with a kitchen often add oven cleaning. Regular domestic cleaning, Deep cleaning, End of tenancy cleaning.

Do you work outside our opening hours?

Almost always. Most offices and shops are cleaned before opening or after closing, which means keys and an alarm code and an agreed procedure if the alarm goes. All of that is written into the arrangement.

What is in a specification?

Every task, room by room, with a frequency against each: daily, weekly or monthly. It is the only way to settle later whether something was in scope, and you get a copy before anything starts.

Who supplies consumables?

Either of us, as long as it is decided in advance. Hand towels, toilet rolls, soap and bin liners are a small thing that causes a surprising amount of friction when nobody has written down whose job it is.

What happens when our cleaner is on holiday?

Cover is arranged and you are told who is attending beforehand. They work to the same written specification, which is the reason for having one rather than relying on somebody remembering the round.

Can you clean desks?

Cleared ones, yes. We do not move papers, files or equipment to clean underneath them, because that is how things go missing and how confidential material ends up in the wrong pile. A clear desk policy makes this much better.

Do you cover multiple sites?

Yes, with one specification, one named contact and one schedule across them. Keys and codes are held per site and recorded separately.

Can we change the schedule later?

Yes, and most do after the first month. A site always shows what actually matters once it is being cleaned regularly, so we review it with you at four weeks and adjust rather than pretending the original guess was right.

Do you do builders cleans or post works cleaning?

A sparkle clean after works, yes, priced as a one off. Genuine construction cleaning with dust extraction and waste removal is a different trade with different equipment, and we would say so rather than take it on.
